If you are receiving an error when attempting to import your Volusion orders, you can check the Activity in your store settings for error details.
Head to your Account Settings (the wrench icon in the upper right).
Next, select Selling Channels and then Store Setup from the sidebar on the left.
From here, you can Edit the Volusion store, and go into the Activity tab to review the errors.
For your Volusion store, you may get an error that states: "Please update your username and password for Volusion in ShipStation"
For security reasons, Volusion requires that all admins update their password every 90 days. This affects your store connection to ShipStation, because the Volusion admin username and password is encrypted into the Volusion API URL. If you change your Volusion admin password, you must also generate a new API URL, then reconfigure your Volusion store in ShipStation to clear the error.
In order to avoid updating your API URL every 90 days, follow the steps below:
1. Create a dedicated user for ShipStation's use in Volusion.
2. Generate a new API URL by following the configuration steps.
3. Update your Volusion store in ShipStation with update API URL by reconfiguring.
Because you will never directly log into the ShipStation user in Volusion, you won't be prompted to update the password again.
