If you ever create labels outside of ShipStation, the order records in ShipStation will need to be marked as shipped to accurately reflect the tracking data. Furthermore, if your shipment was made outside of ShipStation or a selling channel, you can use the Mark as Shipped functionality to transmit the tracking number back to the selling channel!
First, locate the desired order(s) on the Orders tab and click the checkbox on the far left of the orders grid to select them.
Now, select Mark as Shipped from the Other Actions dropdown.
In the pop-up that follows, you're able to specify the following information:
- Tracking Number
- Ship Date
- Notify Customer (via Shipment notification email)
- Notify Marketplace
- Deduct Inventory
Once you've done all of the above, click Mark as Shipped!
A record of this will be stored in the Fulfillments section of the Shipments tab, and the order will move to shipped!
