Need help getting around ShipStation? Depending on your business process, you'll need the different ShipStation tabs at different times. If you're logged into the ShipStation web application, these five tabs will always be located next ShipStation logo in the top left of the interface.
Here's a quick overview of what you can do on each of the tabs:
Need a high-level view of your ShipStation account activity? This tab provides a variety of graphs to tell you about your sales and shipments. Don't worry, you Excel wizards out there- this tab's dedicated reports section serves up data about your orders, shipments, products, and customers.
You'll spend the bulk of your time on this tab as you manage your current and past orders from all of your selling channels. This is where you'll choose shipping settings and create shipping labels for orders, either individually or in batches. You can speed up your fulfillment process by customizing order views that show you the exact columns you want, in the order you want them, and sort in the way that's meaningful to your business process.
When you ship an order in ShipStation, a corresponding shipment record will appear in this tab. This makes it easy to reprint existing shipping labels free of charge, track mail stream activity for shipments you've sent out the door, and also request voids or refunds for labels you never used. And if you need to create an End of Day form, this tab has got you covered!
Product records are created as ShipStation imports order information from your selling channels. You can modify the product details on these records in order to override values sent by your marketplace or even auto-apply things like unit weight, shipping settings, and customs information to future orders containing those products.
Want to research a customer's order history, flag a few customers with a VIP tag you created, or easily create new orders for repeat customers? This tab has got you covered! Similar to the Products tab, ShipStation creates customer records as it imports order information from your selling channels, so this customer list will grow over time.
