ShipStation is in the process of redesigning the way our Order Details window displays. This will eventually be released to every user in ShipStation. But before it goes to everyone, we're releasing it to a select group of users first! The impact is small, but there may be parts of the interface that you see in other how-to videos, articles, screenshots, etc. that make you think "Well, wait, is that the same thing I'm seeing?"
The answer is "Yes, what you're seeing is correct!" You're just seeing the new and improved version of what everyone else sees. But, since most ShipStation users aren't in the select group of users that get to use the new version, we have decided to keep documentation referencing the interface that the large portion of our users see.
But, we've got you covered! This article is a reference sheet for what you see and what other versions of this may mean.
Screenshots in most articles look like this for the Shipping Info:
For you, though, it will look like this:
(If you've already created a label, you can access this option again by clicking Other Actions beneath the label carousel, and clicking Create Another Label from the dropdown)
At the top right side of the Order Summary section, you'll see Requested. This is the service mapping that is set up on the Selling Channel.
However, most screenshots of this will have this on the Shipping Info section.
Customs Declarations display for international orders underneath the Order Summary. Click Customs Declarations to expand the view!
It expands to show:
(It used to take up more of the Order Details popup, and not be collapsible.)
Previous shipments will appear on the righthand side of the screen. This area is called The Label Carousel and it displays the tracking number, status, Estimated Delivery Time, Ship Date, Ship From Location, Service, and Carrier Fee/Cost. If you click through the arrows, or click on the icon for each shipment, you will be able to see all shipment records made for each order number.
The old way displays the following list of each shipment record in the upper righthand corner.
You may also need to add a few more Shipping Options to your shipment, like Saturday Delivery, or C.O.D.. Click Add Shipping Options.
This popup will appear where you can select from available options.
This is what it looks like in the old interface.
