Why is there a warning icon in the "Rate" column when I attempt to update rates for selected orders?

A warning icon in the “Rate” column means that there was a problem attempting to fetch the rate for the order. This could mean several things. The most common reason is that you have not yet selected a carrier, service or package type for the order. In some cases, it may mean that the selected service is not compatible with the package type, weight, recipient location or other selected setting.

To find more information on the problem, you can simply hover your mouse over the warning icon to see the error. You can quickly make changes to the order and click the Update Rates button in the action bar, the Get Rate button in the Order sidebar, or the refresh icon next to the rate itself in the order grid to try again.
