Importing a Warehouse Location from your Magento store requires 3 basic steps:
- Create a custom attribute in Magento
- Set Magento to export this custom attribute
- Reconfigure your Magento store connection in ShipStation to accept this custom attribute
Before you take these steps, you must first be sure that you are on the latest version of the ShipStation extension. Check Magento Connect > Release Notes for the latest versions.
Once you've verified that you're on the latest extension, you must create a custom attribute for your Warehouse Location in Magento (if you haven't already), then tell Magento it needs to export this custom attribute to ShipStation. This article provides instructions on how to accomplish this in Magento.
*Please note that there are two types of attributes in Magento: system and user-defined. Be sure that your attribute is set to user-defined so it will export to ShipStation.
Once you have set Magento to export this custom attribute, you'll also need to adjust your Magento Store Configuration in ShipStation.
Go to Settings > Selling Channel > Store Setup and click Connection next to your Magento store.
In the Connection window, scroll down to enter your Warehouse Location Attribute.
Be sure to enter the Warehouse Location attribute as it appears in Magento into this field. For example, if "Pick Location" is how the attribute displays in your Magento admin, you should enter it as such:
Once this is entered, click Finish. Your Warehouse Location Attribute will now be included as an Item Option on your Magento orders when they import.
