What does the error message "The requested accessory option is unavailable between the selected locations" mean?

When you create labels, you may sometimes receive the error message "The requested accessory option is unavailable between the selected locations."

This most likely means you are attempting to ship something by UPS and have the Carbon Neutral option selected in your UPS account settings in ShipStation. The UPS Carbon Neutral Shipping Program is not available between all locations.

To fix this, we need to disable the Carbon Neutral program temporarily. 

Head to your Account Settings (the gear icon in the upper right).

Next, select Shipping and then Carriers & Fulfillment from the sidebar on the left.


Click on Settings for UPS. 



This will open the settings for your UPS account. Uncheck the box for "Use the UPS Carbon Neutral shipping program."



Click the Yes, Please Proceed…  button, and that's it! You should now be able to print those labels. Remember to go back and re-activate the program once you have printed those specific labels, though.
