Re-printing a shipment's label is for printing a copy of the same shipping label you have already created. This will have the same tracking number and no fee for re-printing. This is great if you’ve lost a label.
In contrast, you can re-ship an order by creating a new label (and thus a different tracking number). This is useful if a package was, for example, lost or stolen and you need to ship the order to your customer again.
Re-printing a Shipping Label
You can reprint a label two ways...
- From the Shipments tab
- From the Order Details window
In the Shipments tab, simply select the shipment(s) that you would like to re-print.
Click the Print button and select Labels.
Select the printing option you normally use (i.e. ShipStation Connect, PDF, etc).
Alternately, in the Order Details, select the label you want to print from the Shipments panel.
Select the printing option you normally use from the printing pop-up.
You can reprint a label in this way as frequently as you need to, without any charge for reprinting.
Re-shipping an Order
|If you using ShipStation V3, check out our article Creating Additional Shipments, which goes over how to create additional shipments for shipped orders when using V3.|
To re-ship an order, and thus create a brand new label for that order, first go to the Orders tab.
Here, you’ll select the Shipped status on the sidebar and find the orders you wish to re-ship and select them.
Then, click the Create Label(s) button.
Once you finish generating the new labels, you'll notice that if you search for the order number in your Shipments screen, it will have shipment records for each time you shipped the order.
