The SKU sent from ShipStation to FBA must match the SKU FBA has for that product in order to successfully fulfill the order.
You may receive one of the following alerts when attempting to get a rate if the SKU sent to FBA doesn't match their records:
- "The request must contain the parameter Item.SellerSKU."
- "Value XYZ for parameter Items.SellerSKU is invalid. Reason: InvalidValue."
"The request must contain the parameter Item.SellerSKU."
This alert indicates the product record in ShipStation does not have a SKU associated with it, and no Fulfillment SKU has been added to the product record.
"Value XYZ for parameter Items.SellerSKU is invalid. Reason: InvalidValue."
This means either the SKU or the Fulfillment SKU for the product in ShipStation does not match the FBA SKU.
To resolve both error messages, you need to add the correct Fulfillment SKU to the product's details.
Add a Fulfillment SKU to a Product
Click on the product link on the Order Detail page.
Alternately, you can locate the product record in the Products tab, and open the product details from there.
Enter the appropriate SKU into the Fulfillment SKU field in the Product Detail > Shipping window (for FBA products, this should correspond to the MSKU value for your product in Amazon Seller Central).
Check the option to Apply changes to open orders.
Click Save Changes.
You should now receive a rate successfully and be able to submit the order to FBA.
To update the Fulfillment SKU for multiple products at once, you can import all of your product records into ShipStation using a specially formatted CSV file. Use the FillSKU field for the fulfillment SKU.
