What's the difference between charging shipping to "Recipient" and "Third Party?"

For UPS, FedEx, OnTrac, Canada Post Commercial, and DHL Express, you are able to specify either the recipient's or a third party's account information in the Order Details pop-up. The available choices are below:



These choices are helpful whenever you want to use a shipping account other than the one you have integrated into ShipStation. In these scenarios, the "Third Party" option should meet all of your needs, but sometimes you might want to specify that the account holder is also the "Recipient." Depending on your carrier, the selected option may display on the shipping label itself or on the invoice for the billed party.
