How do I adjust my DYMO LabelWriter 4XL paper size (Windows)?

If your DYMO LabelWriter 4XL's print outs are too big or too small for your 4x6 labels, then you'll need to change your DYMO's printer settings in a couple places.

First, navigate to your installed printers by going to your Start menu (the Windows icon, typically in the lower left) and typing in Devices and Printers to pull up this screen.

Locate the DYMO LabelWriter 4XL printer, right click it, and select Printer Properties.

Again, you'll need to adjust for the paper size in a couple places:

(I know it seems redundant, but this is what it takes!)

Printing Preferences

Click Preferences.

Then in the new window, click Advanced.

Within the "Paper/Output" section, change the "Paper Size" to "1744907 4 in X 6 in"

Click OK to dismiss this small window, and then OK again to return to the "DYMO LabelWriter 4XL Properties" window.

Now, you'll need to adjust your Printing Defaults.

Printing Defaults

At the "DYMO LabelWriter 4XL Properties" window, go to the Advanced Tab and click on Printing Defaults.

In the new window, click on Advanced.

Within the "Paper/Output" section, change the "Paper Size" to "1744907 4 in X 6 in"

Click OK three times to save and return to the "Devices and Printers" screen.

That's it! Your DYMO LabelWriter 4XL is set to print in the proper size for your 4 x 6 labels. Try reprinting a label in ShipStation to test the settings.
