ShipStation supports almost 100 direct store integrations. "Direct" integrations were built and are maintained by ShipStation. These are the stores you can add through the Store Setup window with just a few clicks and entering some basic information.
However, you may use a selling channel that does not have a direct integration with ShipStation. If that is the case, you still have a few options:
- CSV Order Import - Import your orders into ShipStation from a spreadsheet - this may work well for lower volume stores, but can become time-consuming as volume increases.
- XML Custom Store - Build a custom store connection based on our Customer Store Development Guide
- API Connection - Use ShipStation's open API to bring orders into a manual store in ShipStation.

What Happens Next?
Many of these selling channels require a special type of connection called EDI, or Electronic Data Interchange. EDI is a way for businesses to send information to each other digitally using a standardized format.
Many of our large retail partners, like Walmart, Kohl's, and others require EDI in order to send invoices, sales, and purchase order information back and forth between systems. However, EDI is an older standard that ShipStation cannot use.
Fortunately, our solutions providers can use our Custom Store or open API to transmit information to ShipStation from an EDI format.
To use ShipStation so you can manage orders from these selling channels, you will need to partner with one of our EDI solution providers so your selling channel data can be imported into ShipStation correctly.
