DHL Express offers discounted rates for US-based ShipStation users, allowing your international customers to take advantage of a wider range of shipping options.
You can now display DHL Express shipping rates for your Shopify customers during their checkout using the process listed below.
While the instructions below apply to Shopify, we are working to add instructions for the following platforms soon:
If your selling channel is not on this list, but you'd like to see support for DHL Express rates, please fill out this form to let us know!
In this article, you can learn how to:
- Configure DHL Express Rates in Shopify so they will appear to your Shopify customers during checkout.
- Set Up Service Mappings in ShipStation so ShipStation automatically applies DHL Express Worldwide shipping to these orders when they import.
First, log into Shopify and click Settings in the lower left-hand corner of the Shopify admin homepage.
In the Shipping rates at checkout section, find Rest of World and click Edit. If you haven't yet, create a new Shipping Zone.
Scroll down to the Calculated Rates section and click Add Rate.
Click DHL Express from the Select a Carrier dropdown in the Add calculated rate window, then click Done.
DHL Express will now be listed under Calculated Rates.
Once verified, click Save.
Your international customers will now see DHL Express Worldwide as an available shipping option during check-out.
This shipping method selected in the selling channel imports into ShipStation as a Service Mapping. It appears in the Shipping section of an order detail popup and/or sidebar.
Click Unmapped and apply the desired service.
Now, any order that imports with a service mapping of DHL Express will automatically be assigned the desired shipping service.
It is also possible to use automation rules to apply the shipping settings, as well as other actions based on this "Service Mapping".
