Summarizes the available barcode scanning features in ShipStation and links to the related articles.
If you have a barcode scanner and use it prominently in your workflow, ShipStation has a range of actions that can be done with barcodes.
The barcode scanning functionality in ShipStation's new layout is currently limited to using the Scan to Print and the Scan to Verify & Print features. Check back for updates on barcode scanning updates in ShipStation's new layout!
Barcode actions include:
-
Optimize your scan-based workflow to create labels in record speed with zero mouse clicks.
-
Scan to Verify & Print (available in ShipStation's new layout only)
Scan to Verify allows you to scan your product UPC barcodes as you pack, to ensure each shipment includes all of the correct items before you send it to your customer. Then, print each label directly from the Scan to Verify screen.
-
Scan a packing slip barcode with ShipStation special scan to view barcode and ShipStation will immediately display the order details.
If you are using ShipStation's new layout, the Scan to View barcode functionality is only available when using Scan to Print/Verify.
-
Scan to Search (ShipStation Legacy only)
Display, ship, or add an order to a batch by scanning a barcode with either the scan to view barcode, or another standardized barcode available to ShipStation.
-
Navigation and other scan actions
Use ShipStation barcode scan actions in place of hotkeys to navigate the ShipStation interface and perform certain actions that would normally require a keyboard and mouse, like applying presets to orders.
