Explains the Mark as Shipped feature and how to use it. Includes need to know details about using Mark as Shipped in ShipStation.
The Mark as Shipped option moves orders and shipments to the Shipped status without creating a label. This is ideal for when you create labels outside of ShipStation or for when orders use a non-traditional method that does not require a label, like a local pick-up.
Use the Marked as Shipped feature to do the following actions:
Move an order from Awaiting Shipment to Shipped status.
Notify the buyer and/or marketplace (or neither) with carrier and tracking information.
Deduct stock from your internal Shipstation inventory.
In ShipStation V3, you can Mark as Shipped from the Orders tab or the Order Details screen. See the details below for each option.
Each shipment that is marked as Shipped will count toward your Subscription's monthly shipment limit , including shipments created by the Mark as Shipped option. To increase your shipment limit, go to
Settings > Account > Subscription˙ and choose a higher subscription plan.
In the Orders tab, use the Mark as Shipped option to move the order to the Shipped status without creating a label. Mark as Shipped is available for orders in either the Awaiting Shipment or On Hold status.
To mark orders as shipped:
Select the order(s) in the Orders grid.
Click Other Actions.
Choose Mark as Shipped.
The Mark as Shipped pop-up screen will appear.
Choose among several actions as needed for your workflow!
Apply these actions to all orders or select only those orders you want for some specific actions. You still have the ability to apply settings to "all orders" versus "per order" via the Bulk Update toolbar above the list of orders.
Specify which carrier to use for shipments.
Enter the tracking number (if available).
Select your options from the Notify Customer and Notify Marketplace drop-downs.
These are checked to send notifications by default. Uncheck if you do not wish ShipStation to send these notifications for the selected orders.
Set the Ship Date if the shipment is not shipping today.
Select a location from the Ship From drop-down menu.
If you track inventory in ShipStation, choose whether or not to deduct from inventory in the Inventory drop-down.
Click Mark as Shipped when you are done.
ShipStation will move the order to the Shipped status. If the selected item represented only one shipment within an order (as in the case of split shipments), the selected shipment will move to the Shipped status, but the order will remain in the Awaiting Shipment status until all shipments on the order have been shipped.
ShipStation will create a shipment record for any order marked as shipped.
Shipments created using the Mark as Shipped option count against your monthly shipment limit.
ShipStation V3 does not currently have the ability to mark orders as shipped via a CSV upload.
