ShipStation supports importing and creating labels for Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) orders from either a connected Amazon Marketplace or ChannelAdvisor store.
Amazon Marketplace: By default, Seller Fulfilled Prime orders from an Amazon store will import into ShipStation's Pending Fulfillment status. Orders that import into the Pending Fulfillment status are view only. This status is available to let you know that the order was placed so you know to create the label in Amazon.
ChannelAdvisor: Seller Fulfilled Prime orders that import from a ChannelAdvisor store will import into the Awaiting Shipment status, just like other orders.
To conform with Amazon's requirements, you must use ShipStation's integration to Amazon Buy Shipping if you wish to create labels for SFP orders in ShipStation.
Once enabled, Amazon Buy Shipping will become available in your Service drop-down and SFP orders that import from a connected Amazon store will import into ShipStation's Awaiting Shipment status so you can create labels for them.
Please review the sections below for details about using the Amazon Buy Shipping API to ship SFP orders
Additional Fees Apply
ShipStation will charge a $0.20 fee for each Amazon Buy Shipping label created in ShipStation.
This fee will be billed on your ShipStation monthly invoice.
After you've connected your Amazon store to ShipStation, you must do the following:
NOTE: If using ChannelAdvisor to import, you must still connect the Amazon store to ShipStation. Follow the instructions in the ChannelAdvisor section below!
Contact ShipStation Support or your account manager to enable the Amazon Buy Shipping option in your account.
To use your own account rates for Amazon Buy Shipping, you must also connect your carrier accounts in Amazon's Shipping portal.
Agree to the Terms & Conditions for each carrier you intend to use with Amazon Shipping.
Once enabled, Amazon Buy Shipping will appear as a carrier in your Carriers & Fulfillment Settings and the services will be available in your Service drop-down menu.
If you have an Amazon store that is approved for Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) connected to ChannelAdvisor, SFP orders will import into ShipStation just like standard merchant fulfilled orders. You can ship these orders just like any other order, but due to Amazon's requirements for the SFP orders, we recommend you use Amazon Buy Shipping to create the labels.
Before you can set up Amazon Buy Shipping to create labels for SFP orders imported from ChannelAdvisor, you'll need to do the following:
-
Connect the Amazon.com account with access to SFP directly to ShipStation.
If necessary, review the instructions for connecting an Amazon seller account to ShipStation.
-
Go to the Branding tab in store settings, enter an email address into the Email field and Save Changes.
-
Click the link to Verify this email address.
In the pop-up that appears, click Send Confirmation Email. You should receive an email to that email address shortly.
Follow the instructions in that email to complete the email-verification process.
-
Refresh the Amazon store settings.
The note under the email address will update to read, This email address has been verified for your account.
Go to the Store Settings tab of the Amazon store settings, uncheck the Is Active? store setting, then Save Changes.
-
Connect your ChannelAdvisor account to ShipStation if you haven't already done so.
You'll use ChannelAdvisor to import orders into ShipStation, and you'll use Amazon Buy Shipping to create labels for Amazon SFP orders that import through ChannelAdvisor.
Unlike SFP orders that import from an Amazon store, ShipStation will not auto-tag SFP orders that import from ChannelAdvisor. However, you can create an automation rule to do this for you. Review the section below to learn how to do this.
When ShipStation enables the Amazon Buy Shipping integration on your account, ShipStation also creates an "Amazon Prime Order" tag that you can use to tag these orders, which is helpful in identifying them for your shippers. However, in order to get ShipStation to auto-tag these orders, you must create an automation rule.
For Seller Fulfilled Prime orders, the Requested Shipping Service will always include the word Prime, so you can use this as the Criteria in the rule.
Go to
Settings > Automation > Automation Rules
.Click Create a Rule.
-
Set the criteria to:
Only apply these actions to orders that match specific criteria
Marketplace :: Equals... :: ChannelAdvisor
Requested Service :: Contains... :: Prime
Set the action to Add a Tag ... and select the Amazon Prime Order tag from the list of available tags.
-
Name the rule and save.
Going forward, all prime orders that import from your ChannelAdvisor store will be automatically tagged (orders that have already imported will not be tagged unless you click the Reprocess Automation Rules button).
Once Amazon Buy Shipping is enabled for your account, the Seller Fulfilled Prime orders will import into the Awaiting Shipment status and be tagged with the Amazon Prime Order tag.
You can then configure your shipments like you normally would and choose any service under the Amazon Buy Shipping heading in your Service drop-down.
If Amazon determines the selected service will not guarantee the shipment's arrival in the required time frame, Amazon will return an alert to ShipStation and prevent you from creating the label for that order. In these cases, you will need to select a faster service.
To prevent services you do not use from displaying in the Service drop-dwn:
Go to
Settings > Shipping > Carriers & Fulfillment
.Click the Services link for the Amazon carrier to show the selected services.
Deselect any services you do not wish to use.
Click Update.
Your Services drop-down will now only show the selected services you wish to use.
Please keep the following limitations in mind when shipping Seller Fulfilled Prime orders in ShipStation:
ShipStation will charge a $0.20 fee for each Amazon Buy Shipping label created in ShipStation. This is billed on your monthly invoice.
Amazon Buy Shipping is only available for U.S. ShipStation accounts at this time.
You cannot use Amazon Buy Shipping services to ship non-prime Merchant Fulfilled orders.
If Amazon determines the selected service will not guarantee the shipment's arrival in the required time frame, Amazon will return an alert and prevent you from creating the label for that order. In these cases, you will need to select a faster service.
End of Day forms, Return labels, and multi-package shipments are not available for shipments creating using Amazon Buy Shipping.
ShipStation cannot create multi-package shipments via Amazon Buy Shipping. Any multi-package shipments will need to be created directly through Amazon Seller Central.
Amazon will use the Ship To Address on the order with Amazon when creating labels. Updating the Ship To Address in ShipStation will have no effect on the label.
Seller Fulfilled Prime orders should not be split or combined in ShipStation.
Delayed notifications are not available for shipments created with Amazon Buy Shipping. Since the label is created through Amazon's system, Amazon is already aware of the shipment when the label is created.
-
If using ChannelAdvisor to import your Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime orders, the Amazon Buy Shipping integration will only function for orders from a single Amazon account.
ShipStation will use the most recently created Amazon store when determining which credentials to submit to Amazon in reference to ChannelAdvisor orders. See ChannelAdvisor and Amazon SFP for more details.
