DHL Express rate changes go into effect on January 1, 2021.
Here is a brief summary of what's changing for ShipStation subscribers who have connected their DHL Express account with ShipStation:
On January 1, 2021, shipping rates for DHL Express international services will increase by an average of 4.9%.
The changes in rates will apply to all DHL Express U.S. international services.
There are no new optional services or surcharges introduced for 2021.
There will be an increase in shipping surcharges and fees which could increase your overall shipping cost, notably:
Address correction will change from $17.00 per shipment to $18.00 per shipment
Change of billing will change from $17.00 per shipment to $18.00 per shipment
Dangerous Goods will change from $110.00 per shipment to $117.50 per shipment
Data Entry will change from $5.00 per waybill to $6.50 per waybill
Direct signature will change from $5.25 per shipment to $5.55 per shipment
Disbursement / Advance Payment will change from 2% of duties $15.00 min to 2% of duties $17.00 min
Dry Ice will change from $5.85 per shipment to $6.15 per shipment
Lithium Ion Batteries Section II (PI965) will change from $110.00 per shipment to $117.50 per shipment
Non- Stackable Pallet will change from $215.00 per piece to $245.00 per piece
Oversize Piece and Overweight Piece will change from $89.00 per piece to $94.00 per piece
Remote Area Pickup and Delivery will change from $0.40 per lb with a $40.00 minimum to the greater of $42.00 per shipment or $0.42 per lb
Residential address will change from $4.65 per shipment to $4.95 per shipment
Shipment Value Protection will change from $1.05 per $100.00 of coverage, $3.15 minimum to: $1.15 per $100.00 of coverage, $3.45 minimum
