We have officially hit one of the busiest shipping seasons of the year. This means that you might need to temporarily upgrade your subscription plan to accommodate the increased shipment volume.
To make sure you can “set and forget” your temporary upgrade, we recommend downgrading immediately after you upgrade.
Why it works: In ShipStation all upgrades apply automatically and you are billed for the prorated amount difference at the time of upgrade. However, downgrade requests will apply at the beginning of the next billing cycle. When you downgrade back to your current plan after the upgrade you assure that you are not locked into a higher volume plan that you won’t need after this season.
For more in-depth instructions for changing your subscription plan check out the following guide: Subscriptions
When you consider upgrades and downgrades, you also want to consider the additional features offered on higher plans as well that might come in handy. For example, if you want to customize your packing slips to add some seasonal flair, you want to be on our Silver plan or higher.

Hopefully this helps you out, however, if you have any further questions or concerns please let us know below.
