USPS Pickup Scheduling Confirmation
Good Morning,
Backstory:
I've been having issues with my local USPS carriers not scanning Tracking Numbers into the system on pickup. I've opened numerous ticket with them and each time was told they would resolve the issue but they haven't. With the safety precautions in place right now it can take up to 40 minutes in line at the lobby to get a receipt so I have just been letting them pick up my packages from home. Since they're not scanning them, the tracking numbers are staying in the "Label Created" status for days while customers are questioning whether I shipped their packages at all. Sometimes they get their initial scan in Raleigh which is the main hub and sometimes they get their initial scan as Out For Delivery by the Destination Post Office.
The last time I opened a ticket, it was suggested that if I scheduled a pickup they would have no choice but to scan the item into the system on pickup because of the process they have in place.
So I scheduled a pickup through ShipStation for June 5th. I had the same results. The carrier picked up the package and never scanned it in. Late last night it was scanned in when it got to the Raleigh hub.
So my question is, ShipStation showed that I had a scheduled pickup for yesterday but I never got a confirmation number like the USPS sends so how do I know if the USPS actually received the pickup request?
I'm trying to figure out if they received the request and still didn't scan the package or if they never received the request. The USPS site allows you to look up requests but you need the confirmation number to do so.
My SS account is tied to a stamps.com account.
Thanks!

Nope. I opened a ticket and received the following response:
Hi Stephen,
Thank you for reaching out to ShipStation Support!
Currently the ShipStation Schedule a Pickup option does not generate or provide a confirmation number as you would see when scheduling on USPS.com. You can only go into the Pickup section and view the pickup you scheduled, or cancel it. If you require a confirmation number you will need to continue to use USPS.com for now.
We have also not received reports from other users with their USPS pickups. This generally indicates there may be something going on with your local Post office. From here, I recommend checking further into this with your local Post Office if they continue to not arrive at the scheduled pickup time.
Please let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to help!
