Sendle from ShipStation

Sendle from ShipStation is a shipping carrier available to Canada and Australia-based ShipStation accounts. Sendle from ShipStation provides both domestic and international services.

For accounts based in Canada, Sendle from ShipStation also provides a carbon-neutral domestic and international pickup shipping service for Canada. When creating a label with Sendle from ShipStation, a Sendle pickup is automatically scheduled for the next day.

You can start creating Sendle labels as soon as you activate ShipStation Carriers. All ShipStation Carrier labels are purchased using your ShipStation Balance.

Sendle from ShipStation Requirements

  • A Canada or Australia-based ShipStation account

  • Activate ShipStation Carriers by adding your payment method.

    You'll be prompted to enter your payment method the first time you attempt to create a label with any ShipStation Carrier, or you can add in advance in either your Carrier settings or Payments & Subscription settings.

  • Add funds to your ShipStation Balance.

    All ShipStation Carrier labels are purchased using the funds in your ShipStation Balance. The first time you add your payment method, you'll be prompted to add funds so you can begin purchasing labels right away.

🇨🇦 For shipments from Canada, Sendle covers shipments up to CAD$100. Please review Sendle's Cover Policy for more details.

🇦🇺 For shipments from Australia, Sendle includes coverage for loss on all eligible domestic and international parcels up to AUD$100. Extra Cover (Carrier Insurance) can also be purchased for AUD $1.95 per $100 of coverage, up to a maximum insured value of $1,500.

🇨🇦 Automatic Pickup Scheduling

When you create a label to ship from Canada to the US with Sendle from ShipStation, a pickup is automatically scheduled with Sendle for the following day.

At this time, you cannot schedule or manage pickups within ShipStation.

The carrier can be used to create domestic shipping labels.

The carrier can be used to create international shipping labels.

ShipStation will submit international customs declarations electronically to the carrier.

The carrier can be used to create domestic return labels.

ShipStation will display estimated shipping rates for the carrier based on the connected account information and shipment details.

Shipment insurance, provided by the shipment's selected carrier, can be added to the shipment in ShipStation. This insurance would be in addition to any default coverage already provided by that carrier.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

Automatic Tracking

ShipStation can close the day's shipments for the carrier and submit the manifest electronically. The End of Day process may be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. A printable file may or may not be available when submitted electronically - see End of Day (PDF).

ShipStation can print the store's logo on shipping labels created for this carrier. Label branding may not be available for all services supported by this carrier.

ShipStation can print information on the label as a label message (configure in Label Document Options). The carrier may or may not support all 3 label message fields and label messages may not be available for all services supported by this carrier.

This carrier can be used to create multi-package shipments, where multiple labels are created for a single shipment and the individual packages are linked together in a single shipment record with a master tracking number.

Notes about Sendle from ShipStation

  • 🇦🇺 🇳🇿 Sendle AU, NZ: International Delivery currently is pickup only. International parcel pickups work differently from domestic parcel pickups, as they require some extra steps. Learn more in Sendle's article Pickups for international parcels – explained.

  • To update your services in ShipStation Carriers, go to Settings > Shipping > Carriers and click on the Update button. Any new services will then become available to your account.

  • Sendle 250g Pouch - Drop Off is now consolidated across two other Sendle services: Sendle - Pickup and Sendle - Drop Off. However, you can still obtain the 250g rates if the order meets the following criteria:

    • Order weight = 250g or less

    • Order is in an eligible postcode for pickup and drop-off location

    • Order usest either Sendle - Pickup or Sendle - Drop Off Services

  • ShipStation label messages are mapped to Sendle labels in the following ways:

    • Label Message 1: Customer Reference.

    • Label Message 2: Receiver Instructions. If left blank, Label Message 2 will default to the delivery confirmation type.

    • Label Message 3: Sender Instructions. Label Message 3 does not print on the label.

  • For international shipments, ShipStation will print a CN22 form on a 4 x 6-inch label when you create the shipment. Learn more about viewing and printing customs forms in ShipStation.

  • To receive a refund on any unused funds in your ShipStation balance, you must contact ShipStation support and request your ShipStation Balance be cancelled. You will then receive a refund on your balance in 6-8 weeks.

    We cannot issue partial refunds on your balance. If you wish to continue using ShipStation Carriers, simply use the balance available in your account.

  • 🇨🇦 Shipments from Canada cannot be valued more than CAD$800.

  • 🇦🇺 You can designate a shipment from Australia as a Dropoff shipment by selecting it in the Other Shipping Options section when configuring a shipment in ShipStation.

Unable to save payment details during the initial setup. The Finish Setup button disappears when attempting to save.

What to do: Try clearing your web browser's cache. Then, try adding your payment method again with your browser in a private or incognito mode.

Error: Sendle: Base: is not yet serviced by Sendle

What it means: This happens when the Ship From Location is a P.O. Box, a parcel locker, or is otherwise out of Sendle’s pick-up range.

What to do: Update the Ship From Location for the order to use a location that is not a P.O. Box or parcel locker and is within Sendle’s pick-up range. Then attempt to create the label again.
