Best Buy CA

Integrate your Best Buy CA account to ShipStation to automatically import your orders and start shipping! ShipStation automatically updates those orders in your Best Buy CA account with tracking details when you create each label.

BestBuy CA Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • An active account as a Best Buy Marketplace Seller.

  • The Best Buy CA Shop ID and API Key.

  • Administrative Permissions: To connect a Best Buy CA account you must have Administrative permissions within BestBuy directly. Without these permissions, you will be unable to connect.

Order Import Requirements:

  • Must include a Ship To address.

  • Must be in the Shipping In Progress status.

Connect a BestBuy CA store to ShipStation

To connect your Best Buy CA store to ShipStation:

  1. Log in to the Best Buy CA Marketplace portal with your admin user.

  2. Go to My Account > Settings.

  3. Gather the store's ID value.

  4. Click your username in the top corner of the page to go to User Settings.

  5. Go to the API Key tab.

  6. Copy the API Key. If no key is present, click Generate a new key.

  7. Open a new tab or browser window and log in to your ShipStation account.

  8. Go to Account Settings.

  9. Select Selling Channels from the sidebar, then choose Store Setup.

  10. Click Connect a Store or Marketplace.

  11. Select the Best Buy CA tile.

  12. Enter your API Key and Shop ID.

  13. Click Test Connection, then Connect if the test is successful.

After you've completed the connection steps, the store's Settings page will open. You can adjust your store-specific settings like branding and customer notifications, if you wish. Or click Save to close.

The shipment update ShipStation sends to the selling channel will include any Notes to Buyer set on the order in ShipStation.

Item Information

If a store allows custom statuses, this means you define that statuses your orders use in your selling channel. In most cases, if you have custom statuses you'll need to define which ShipStation statuses each custom order status corresponds to.

ShipStation will import the customer's email address with the order data and can send shipment confirmation and delivery emails to that email address (configured in your Store settings).

ShipStation will import the customer phone number with the order data.

ShipStation will import the shipping method chosen by the customer during their store checkout.

ShipStation will import the payment method used to pay for the order.

ShipStation will import discount and coupon information for the order.

ShipStation can determine if an order is a gift from the order data sent by the store.

ShipStation will import internal notes or order activity from the store into the ShipStation Internal Notes field.

ShipStation will import notes provided by the customer when they made their purchase.

ShipStation will import the total order weight from the store.

ShipStation will import the weight for each line item in the order.

ShipStation will import an image URL for each line item in the order. These images will appear as thumbnails in your Order Details and can be included in email notifications and packing slips.

ShipStation will import item options (such as color or size) for each line item in the order. This data will appear in your Order Details and can be included in customer emails and packing slips.

ShipStation will import a product stock location for each line item in the order.

BestBuy CA Integration Notes

  • ShipStation will not receive status updates for Best Buy CA orders. If a Best Buy CA order is cancelled or shipped outside of ShipStation, you will need to manually update the ShipStation order record.

  • If a Best Buy CA order is partially rejected, ShipStation will:

    1. List the SKUs that were rejected in Custom Field 1.

    2. Apply a Rejected tag to the order.

      Note

      An automation rule titled BBCA REFUSED will apply the tag. This automation rule is created the first time a Best Buy CA store connects to ShipStation. If the rule or tag is deleted or modified, this action may no longer function as intended.
