APC Overnight specializes in the timed delivery of secure, fragile, and liquid items within the United Kingdom and Channel Islands. ShipStation's integration with APC Overnight is available to UK-based ShipStation accounts.

APC Overnight Integration Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • A UK-based ShipStation account

  • An active account with APC Overnight

  • Your APC Overnight username and password

Shipping Requirements:

  • APC Overnight only supports shipping from and to the United Kingdom, Jersey, and Guernsey.

Connect an APC Overnight Account to ShipStation

To connect your APC Overnight account to ShipStation:

  1. Go to Account Settings.

    Shows the gear-icon for Settings in the toolbar

  2. Select Shipping, then choose Carriers from the sidebar.

  3. Select the Your Carrier Accounts tab.

  4. Select Add Carrier .

  5. Select APC Overnight and click Connect.

  6. Enter your APC Overnight Username (Email Address) and Password into the corresponding fields.

  7. Click Connect.

Additional Features for APC Overnight

The ShipStation integration with APC Overnight allows for the following additional features:

Shipping to Northern Ireland (Windsor Framework)

In alignment with the Windsor Framework, APC Overnight introduced data requirements when shipping from the UK to Northern Ireland (NMI). The changes will take effect on 31st March 2025.

On 19th September 2024, the UK Government confirmed that the new arrangements under the Windsor Framework for parcels and freight movements that were planned to come into effect from 30th September 2024 were deferred until 1st May 2025. See Sending parcels to and from Northern Ireland for the full statement.

  1. For B2C Shipments to Northern Ireland APC Overnight requires to provide data in the following fields:

    • Type of Export (Customs Contents)

    • Duty Items Section:

      • Description

      • Harmonization Code

      • Country of Origin

      • Quantity

      • Item Value

  2. For B2B Shipments, beyond filling out the customs information details listed above, the shipper should also provide both their own and the recipient's EORI number.

Mandatory Data as of 1st May 2025

The above data will be mandatory as of 1st May 2025. If not provided, the label will not be generated. If available, you can provide the data for this type of shipment before the deadline.

Customs Forms

Customs information for international shipments will print on a Commercial Invoice document separate from the shipping label.

The carrier can be used to create domestic shipping labels.

The carrier can be used to create international shipping labels.

ShipStation will submit international customs declarations electronically to the carrier.

ShipStation will display estimated shipping rates for the carrier based on the connected account information and shipment details.

Shipment insurance, provided by the shipment's selected carrier, can be added to the shipment in ShipStation. This insurance would be in addition to any default coverage already provided by that carrier.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

Windsor Framework - Shipping to Northern Ireland

APC Overnight will require additional details for B2C and B2B movement types when shipping from Great Britain to Northern Ireland, in accordance with the Windsor Framework.

For B2C Shipments to Northern Ireland, APC Overnight will require you to provide data in the following information:

  • Type of Export (customs contents)

  • Terms of Sale (DDU or DDP)

  • Item Description

  • Item HS Code

  • Item Country of Origin

  • Item Quantity

  • Item Unit Value

For B2B shipments to Northern Ireland:

  • All details required for B2C shipments (listed above)

  • The shipper's and recipient's EORI numbers

These date points are required as of 1 May 2025. If the required data is not provided, the label will not be generated.

APC Overnight Integration Notes

  • The ShipStation integration with APC Overnight does not support third-party billing.

  • APC Overnight labels are returned as a 4x6.5" document regardless of default or 4x6 selection. The carrier recommends using 4x6.5" label stock.

  • Estimated Rates: APC Overnight does not send estimated shipping rates to the ShipStation V2 API.

  • Carrier Insurance: Adding shipment insurance directly through the carrier is not supported.

  • Paperless Labels: Paperless shipping labels are not supported.

  • Label Branding: Custom label branding is not supported.

  • Advanced Options: APC Overnight does not currently support any advanced shipment options.

  • Shipment Manifests: Manifesting shipments is not required or supported.

  • Pickup Scheduling: Scheduling a carrier pickup via the ShipStation V2 API is not supported.

  • Service Points (PUDO): Shipping to pickup and drop-off (PUDO) service points is not supported.

  • Delivery Confirmation Options: The only valid delivery confirmation type supported is none.
