How to add a CS-Cart store to ShipStation, what features are available, and other need-to-know details.

CS-Cart Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • An active account with CS-Cart.

    Download CS-Cart's shopping cart software for a free trial version!

  • The ShipStation add-on for CS-Cart must be downloaded and uploaded to CS-Cart. The file can be found in the CS-Cart connection window within ShipStation.

  • CS-Cart username and password.

  • Supported CS-Cart versions:

Scope of Support

Uploading or installing the add-on file to CS-Cart is beyond ShipStation's scope of support. We recommend you contact your store developer or CS-Cart Support if you need assistance with the add-on installation process, as the process can differ based on the unique CS-Cart server configuration.

Connect a CS-Cart store to ShipStation

To connect your CS-Cart store to ShipStation:

  1. Select the CS-Cart tile.

  2. Download the ShipStation add-on available in the first step of the connection steps.

  3. In a new tab or browser window, log in to your CS-Cart admin portal.

  4. Upload the archive from the Add-ons page, or Unpack the archive to the directory [CSCART_ROOT] if no upload option is available.

  5. Navigate to the Add-ons > Manage add-ons page.

  6. Find ShipStation add-on and then click the Install button.

  7. Open the settings of the ShipStation add-on and enter a Username and Password to be used to authenticate the connection.

  8. Select the ;Paid, Shipped, and Cancelled statuses.

  9. Back in ShipStation, enter the credentials for the user created into the corresponding fields, and the URL for your store.

After you've completed the connection steps, your store will be connected to ShipStation. You'll be taken to the store's Settings page to adjust the store-specific settings like branding, notification preferences, and product handling.

This integration allows you to define the Status Mappings for the store connection.

ShipStation will import the customer email address and can send customer shipment notification and delivery emails.

ShipStation will import the customer phone number.

ShipStation will import the shipping method chosen by the customer at time of checkout.

ShipStation will import the payment method used to pay for the order.

ShipStation will import discount and coupon information for the order.

ShipStation is able to determine if an order was placed as a gift.

ShipStation will import internal notes or order activity from the selling channel.

ShipStation will import notes left by the customer at time of checkout. Displayed as Customer notes in ShipStation's Legacy Layout.

ShipStation will import the total order weight from the selling channel.

ShipStation will import the weight for each line item in the order.

ShipStation will import an image URL for each line item in the order.

ShipStation will import item options (such as color or size) for each line item in the order.

ShipStation will import a product stock location for each line item in the order.

Additional Details about the CS-Cart Integration

  • ShipStation is only able to successfully notify CS-Cart of shipments if your products are using SKUs. We recommend assigning SKUs for any products that would be shipped through ShipStation.
