Groupon

How to add a Groupon account to ShipStation, what features are available, and other need-to-know details.

Groupon integrates directly with ShipStation to automatically import your orders so you can start shipping quickly. ShipStation will automatically notify your Groupon account with each order's shipment details as soon as you create each label.

Groupon Ending 1st Party Accounts

Groupon is ending their 1st Party Account option and these accounts will no longer function with ShipStation. ShipStation will only integrate with Groupon Marketplace accounts.

If you were previously using a Groupon 1st Party account, please ensure your Ship From Locations and packing slips in ShipStation no longer include the Groupon 1st Party account return address. All Groupon marketplace returns should be directed to your official return address.

Additional Details about Groupon Integration

  • Groupon marketplace orders are only exposed to ShipStation a single time. If you update the order in Groupon after it's already imported into ShipStation, the updates will not be sent to ShipStation.

  • ShipStation will only import Groupon orders that have not already been Exported. If another third-party service is exporting Groupon orders, that will prevent ShipStation from receiving them.

Groupon Troubleshooting Tips

Here are some common issues experienced by users, potential causes, and available troubleshooting tips.

Issue

How to troubleshoot or resolve

Groupon order is not importing into ShipStation.

The most common reason why an order does not import into ShipStation is that it's already listed as Exported in Groupon.

This can happen if you have another third-party service connected to Groupon that is exporting the order, or it can happen if you run a manual export from within Groupon.

If you're not sure how your Groupon orders are being exported prior to ShipStation attempting to fetch them, we recommend you contact Groupon directly to investigate who's getting your data first.
