Tip
If you're just getting started with Walmart Marketplace, review Walmart's Intro to Selling guide to ensure you've completed your account setup.
Connection Requirements:
-
An active seller account on Walmart Marketplace.
-
Your Walmart seller account Client ID and Client Secret.
Order Import Requirements:
-
Include a Ship To address.
-
Include items that need to be shipped.
-
Sellers must be approved by Walmart! Orders WILL NOT IMPORT unless you have been approved and onboarded. This process can take up to 6 months.
IMPORTANT: Walmart Market Policy Updates
Walmart requires Marketplace sellers to confirm their contact information (Business Name, Customer Service phone number, and Address) on the verification dashboard in Walmart Seller Center by August 1st, 2021.
Sellers not in compliance may be subject to restrictions placed on their accounts in the upcoming weeks. If you require any technical support please contact Walmart’s Partner Support.
To complete the connection, you'll need two browser windows open: one for ShipStation and one for Walmart.
After you've completed the connection steps, your store will be connected to ShipStation. You'll be taken to the store's Settings page to adjust the store-specific settings like branding, notification preferences, and product handling.
The ShipStation integration with Walmart supports the following standard features:
-
This integration specifically supports Walmart sellers based in the US. We have a separate integration that supports Walmart sellers based in Canada. At this time, Walmart Drop Ship Vendor (DSV) accounts are not supported.
-
ShipStation is not able to display Combine Order Alerts for Walmart orders.
-
ShipStation will not create new orders if all the products in the order are already Shipped or Cancelled.
-
ShipStation is not able to send emails for Walmart orders. All customer notifications will be handled by Walmart.
-
Due to Walmart's order acknowledgment requirements, the Auto-Update feature is always enabled for Walmart stores and cannot be disabled.
-
Every individual item in a Walmart order has its own unique Line Item ID value which must be included when notifying Walmart of the shipment. If a customer orders multiples of the same item, the item will appear multiple times in ShipStation each with a quantity of 1.
