For US-based Amazon Business merchants, ShipStation has 2 new features:
-
Print Business Order PO numbers on labels: Automatically print the Amazon Business Order PO numbers on USPS, UPS, and FedEx labels.
When you enable this option in your store settings, ShipStation will insert the PO number sent from Amazon into the Label Message 1 field for USPS, UPS, and FedEx labels, no matter the selected service.
This improves customer experience by ensuring that the shipment gets routed to the right department in the business.
-
Business Hour Delivery Rate: See the Business Hour Delivery Rate section to learn more about how to change services if your shipment may be delivered to a business closed on the weekend.
What is an Amazon Business Order?
Amazon Business orders typically are large, bulk orders from B2B customers placing orders for their business. Merchants first have to sign up for an Amazon Business account. Find more information about Amazon Business and sign up for a free account here.
For all NEW Amazon Business store connections based in the United States, this store setting will be enabled by default:
Purchase Order Number will print on USPS, UPS, and FedEx labels for Amazon Business Orders
Why print the Amazon Business Order PO number on labels?
We encourage all merchants to enable this setting to greatly improve your customer's experience.
-
Routing: Having Purchase Order Numbers on the label makes it easier for recipients to direct packages to the right department within their enterprise.
-
Increased Sales: Enterprise customers prefer to buy from merchants who print PO Numbers on their labels. When businesses receive your shipments, the PO Number makes it more efficient for them to route the package to the right department. This often helps merchants see greater sales!

ShipStation has a feature for your Amazon store's Business Hour Delivery Rate (BHDR) metrics to help you maintain a high BHDR for your Amazon Business account. A high Business Hour Delivery Rate score improves the customer experience and drives more sales. This feature is available by default for US-based ShipStation merchants who use Amazon Business!
How does BHDR help merchants?
According to Amazon, in 2024, sellers with a BHDR greater than 90% had over 8x higher sales per business customer than sellers below 90%. BHDR helps you do the following:
-
Avoid revenue loss due to Customer Claims.
-
Improve your customer's experience by preventing lost shipments.
ShipStation will surface a BHDR alert on Amazon Business orders to warn you when the selected service will deliver on the weekend, a time when most businesses are closed. ShipStation's alert encourages you to pick a different service that will ensure delivery on a weekday instead. By changing services, you will prevent any packages from getting delivered to businesses that are closed during the weekend.
Here is an example of how the BHDR alert will appear in the Configure Shipment Widget.
