WeShip Express

🇺🇸 WeShip Express is available in ShipStation for merchants shipping within the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. As a domestic shipping carrier specializing in fulfillment and logistics solutions tailored specifically for alcohol brands, WeShip Express supports shipments of wine, spirits, and beer with built-in adult signature confirmation to help ensure compliance.

You can compare account-negotiated rates, create shipping labels in PDF or ZPL format, and track your shipments directly from ShipStation. To get started, contact your WeShip Express representative to set up your account.

Adult Signature Required for All Shipments

Please note that because of the nature of the shipments, adult signature confirmation is mandatory and automatically applied to all labels, ensuring your deliveries always remain fully compliant with regional regulations.

Connect a WeShip Express Account to ShipStation

To connect your WeShip Express account to ShipStation:

  1. Select Add Carrier .

  3. Enter your WeShip Express Client Code and API Key, and choose an Account Nickname for you to identify the carrier account in ShipStation.

WeShip Express Confirmation Types

  • Adult Signature is always mandatory. It's handled by deafult on the backend based on product type (Wine, Spirits/ALT, or Beer). You cannot opt out.

The carrier can be used to create domestic shipping labels.

The carrier can be used to create international shipping labels.

ShipStation will submit international customs declarations electronically to the carrier.

The carrier can be used to create domestic return labels.

ShipStation will display estimated shipping rates for the carrier based on the connected account information and shipment details.

Shipment insurance, provided by the shipment's selected carrier, can be added to the shipment in ShipStation. This insurance would be in addition to any default coverage already provided by that carrier.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

ShipStation can close the day's shipments for the carrier and submit the manifest electronically. The End of Day process may be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. A printable file may or may not be available when submitted electronically - see End of Day (PDF).

This carrier can be used to create multi-package shipments, where multiple labels are created for a single shipment and the individual packages are linked together in a single shipment record with a master tracking number.

You can connect this carrier to ShipStation multiple times using different accounts and choose which account will be used to create each shipment.

WeShip Express Integration Notes

  • The ShipStation integration with WeShip Express does not support the following features:

    • No return labels

    • No third-party billing.

    • No shipping of dangerous goods.

    • No manifesting (end-of-day)

    • No carrier insurance

    • No Pick Up / Drop Off (PUDO)

  • Package & Shipment

    • Only the regular package type is supported.

    • Weight is required; dimensions are not

    • No multi-package shipments

  • Tracking: Supported for Domestic shipments only. Requires both tracking number and order ID.

  • Labels

    • Supported formats: PDF and ZPL only

    • Supported size: 4x6 only

    • Labels expire after 25 days

    • No label voiding is supported

    • No Unicode characters (e.g., Kanji, Cyrillic) on labels

    • No label messages or reference fields

  • Shipping Scope

    • Domestic shipments only.

    • No international shipping.

    • Cannot ship from multiple origin countries

    • Must ship from within the USA (including Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico). .
