ShipGlobal is an international shipping carrier available in ShipStation for merchants shipping from the United States to destinations worldwide. With ShipGlobal, you can get rates, create shipping labels, and track international shipments, all from within your ShipStation account. Labels are available in PDF and PNG formats (4x6 and A4 sizes), and shipment tracking is included by default across all services.

ShipGlobal also supports tax identifiers such as IOSS and VAT for international customs compliance. To get started, you'll need the ShipGlobal account credentials that are provided by their customer service team upon account verification.

ShipGlobal Integration Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • An active account with ShipGlobal.

  • The following ShipGlobal credentials:

    • Password

    • username

    • accountNumber

Label Requirements

  • Dimensions and weight are required to create a label.

Connect a ShipGlobal Account to ShipStation

To connect your ShipGlobal account to ShipStation:

  1. Go to Account Settings.

    Shows the gear-icon for Settings in the toolbar

  2. Select Shipping, then choose Carriers from the sidebar.

  3. Select the Your Carrier Accounts tab.

  4. Select Add Carrier .

  5. Select ShipGlobal and click Connect.

  6. Enter your ShipGlobal Password, username, and accountNumber, and choose an Account Nickname for you to identify the carrier account in ShipStation.

  7. Click Connect.

The ShipStation integration with ShipGlobal allows for the following additional features:

ShipGlobal supports 4x6 and A4 labels.

Electronic Customs Submission

Customs information is transmitted electronically via the API. Commercial invoices and CN22/CN23 forms are automatically returned with your shipment, and no shipper signature or header image upload is required.

Estimated Rates

Rate quotes are available before purchasing a label and reflect your account-specific negotiated pricing.

Note that rates are estimates, as surcharges such as fuel, insurance, and home delivery fees are not included.

Tracking

Tracking is included by default for all ShipGlobal services, and no opt-in is required. Full route visibility is provided through the default waybill, and only the tracking number is needed to track a shipment.

Unicode Characters

Unicode characters (Kanji, Cyrillic, etc.) are supported on labels.

The carrier can be used to create domestic shipping labels.

The carrier can be used to create international shipping labels.

ShipStation will submit international customs declarations electronically to the carrier.

The carrier can be used to create domestic return labels.

ShipStation will display estimated shipping rates for the carrier based on the connected account information and shipment details.

Shipment insurance, provided by the shipment's selected carrier, can be added to the shipment in ShipStation. This insurance would be in addition to any default coverage already provided by that carrier.

Shipping labels created for this carrier will include a tracking number that can be used to view the shipment status on the carrier's tracking website. Tracking may not be available for all shipping services.

ShipStation can close the day's shipments for the carrier and submit the manifest electronically. The End of Day process may be mandatory or optional, based on the carrier and your account with them. A printable file may or may not be available when submitted electronically - see End of Day (PDF).

You can connect this carrier to ShipStation multiple times using different accounts and choose which account will be used to create each shipment.

ShipGlobal Integration Notes

  • The ShipStation integration with ShipGlobal does not support the following features:

    • Third-party Billing

    • Billing duties to a third party for international shipments.

    • Carrier Insurance

    • Multi-package Shipping

    • Dangerous/Hazardous Goods

    • Pick Up / Drop Off (PUDO) services.

    • Domestic Shipping: ShipGlobal is international-only, shipping from the US to all countries.

    • End of Day (Manifesting): ShipGlobal does not support electronic or PDF end-of-day manifesting.. All shipments are automatically manifested when they arrive at ShipGlobal's processing warehouse, so no additional action is required on your part.

    • Label Voiding: Labels cannot be voided. Holding the shipment is the equivalent of a void.

    • Return Labels: Neither domestic nor international returns are supported.

  • Labels expire after 180 days.

  • Dimensions and weight are required to create a label.

  • Billing occurs at first scan, not at label creation.

  • Confirmation type: Only delivery confirmation is available (no signature, adult signature, etc.).
