Troubleshoot Checkout Rates

Follow these troubleshooting steps if your store's Checkout Rates are not displaying in your store's checkout or the rates do not match.

First, ensure your connection with BigCommerce imports orders without issue.

Rates Not Matching - BigCommerce

If the rates you see in BigCommerce and ShipStation are different, check the following:

  • The Shipping Origin and Ship From Location addresses match.

  • If the destination address is going to a residential or commercial address.

  • If the information matches, make changes to the order in BigCommerce such as adding a new item or updating the zip code to confirm that BigCommerce is updating with new rates. At times, BigCommerce will cache rates which means it will show an old rate if there are no changes to the order.

If these steps do not resolve your Checkout Rate issues, take screenshots of the matching order in ShipStation and the information entered in BigCommerce then contact ShipStation support.
