Notes on Users

  • Access to the Account subsections will depend on the permissions and restrictions applied to your user. If you cannot access this screen, please get in touch with your ShipStation account administrator.

  • If multiple usernames are associated with the same email address, we recommend entering your username to ensure ShipStation resets the password for the correct user.

  • If multiple employees are logging into ShipStation, each employee needs to log in with their individual username or email address.

  • You cannot change the username once created. If you need to use a different a username, you must add a new user and set the old one to inactive.

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Single Sign-On (SSO) is the ability to use one set of credentials to sign into many different applications. Using SSO also helps reduce the number of passwords you have to remember to access your accounts.

Available SSO Providers:

  • Gmail

  • More coming soon!

Notes About SSO

  • Only ONE account can be linked per SSO provider.

  • If you disconnect the SSO provider used to open an account you will see a prompt to create a password for ShipStation. If you do not set a password at that time you can use the Forgot Password option the next time you attempt to sign into ShipStation to create one.

  • Mobile App login does not currently support SSO. If you plan to use ShipStation's Mobile App,you will need to create a password for your account by going to your account Profile (person icon) > My Profile > Change Your Password.

  • Disconnecting SSO has to be done directly from the user profile. For an Account Administrator to disable an SSO connection they would need to deactivate that users profile in their account.

Manage Security Settings

Add an extra layer of protection to your account by enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and choosing your preferred verification method.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a multi-step verification process that requires a one-time code, sent to your email or mobile device, in addition to your password when logging into your account. This added security measure ensures that only you can access your ShipStation account. You can enroll both email addresses and mobile devices, giving you the flexibility to choose how you receive your login verification code.

Benefits of MFA:

  • Enhanced Security: Protect your account against fraud and unauthorized access.

  • Industry Compliance: Stay aligned with the latest industry standards and regulations.

  • Improved Accountability: Ensure that only authorized users have access to your account.
