Edit Services & Package Types

Explains how to change available services and how to enable package types by carrier.

ShipStation enables all available services and package types for carriers by default. However, you can enable and disable these so you or your staff only select from the services and package types you actually use.

Change Available Services

The number of enabled services will appear in the Settings screen, and only the enabled services will appear in the Services drop-down menu when you configure your shipments.

Notes About Enabling or Disabling Services

  • You can manage services either by clicking the link next to the carrier or going into the Action Menu and choosing Manage Services.

  • Quickly disable all services by clicking the toggle next to the carrier. This will hide the carrier as an option in the Rate Browser and Shipment Configuration.

The toggle next to one carrier is set to off while another is set to on.
  • If a service does not appear in the Services list in the Carriers settings, that service is not currently supported in ShipStation.

  • Currently, if you enable or disable services for a carrier with multiple accounts connected to ShipStation, the enabled/disabled services will apply to all connected accounts.

However, this does not apply to UPS from ShipStation. If you have both UPS from ShipStation and a separate UPS account, you can enable and disable services on these accounts independently.

Going forward, only the selected package types will appear in the Packages drop-down menu when you configure your shipping options.
