ShipStation enables all available services and package types for carriers by default. However, you can enable and disable these so you or your staff only select from the services and package types you actually use.
The number of enabled services will appear in the Settings screen, and only the enabled services will appear in the Services drop-down menu when you configure your shipments.
-
You can manage services either by clicking the link next to the carrier or going into the Action Menu and choosing Manage Services.
-
Quickly disable all services by clicking the toggle next to the carrier. This will hide the carrier as an option in the Rate Browser and Shipment Configuration.
-
If a service does not appear in the Services list in the Carriers settings, that service is not currently supported in ShipStation.
-
Currently, if you enable or disable services for a carrier with multiple accounts connected to ShipStation, the enabled/disabled services will apply to all connected accounts.
However, this does not apply to UPS from ShipStation. If you have both UPS from ShipStation and a separate UPS account, you can enable and disable services on these accounts independently.
-
🇬🇧 UK accounts: You cannot manually edit Royal Mail services with this process. Instead, ShipStation will retrieve your approved services directly from the Royal Mail API several times a day.
If you have made a change to the approved services in your Royal Mail account, ShipStation will reflect the change within just a few hours.
-
🇦🇺 Australia accounts: You cannot use Australia Post services that have not been approved for your AU Post account, even if you enable them in ShipStation. ShipStation will retrieve your approved services directly from the Australia Post API.
If you make a change to the services available in your Australia Post account, do the following to update the services in ShipStation: Go to
Settings > Shipping > Carriers > Your Carriers
and click Settings on your Australia Post account in ShipStation. Then click the Update Shipping Services button.
Going forward, only the selected package types will appear in the Packages drop-down menu when you configure your shipping options.
-
If a package type does not appear in the Packages list, that package type is not currently supported in ShipStation.
