TikTok now integrates ecommerce for US and UK-based merchants into its platform. This capacity allows TikTok users to discover and purchase products directly through the app. Some features include shoppable ads, product links in videos, and collaborations with brands for promotional campaigns. TikTok Sellers and USPS Tracking Numbers

Effective October 27, 2025TikTok will no longer accept USPS tracking numbers for Seller Shipping orders from China-based cross-border sellers.This update impacts sellers in China only.

US-based TikTok sellers using ShipStation are not affected and can use USPS as usual.

TikTok Shop Requirements

Connection Requirements:

  • An active account with TikTok Shop

  • A US-based or UK-based ShipStation account

  • Shipping Options Setting in TikTok must be set to Seller Shipping

  • TikTok Shop username and password

Only Seller Shipping is Supported

Be sure to set the Shipping Options Setting in TikTok to Seller Shipping. Our integration supports Seller Shipping only, and not TikTok Shipping. See the Shipping Options Setting section in this TIkTok help article for a step-by-step guide.

Connect a TikTok Shop Store to ShipStation

To connect your TikTok Shop store to ShipStation:

  1. Select TikTok Shop.

  2. Click Connect in the Set Up Store Connection popup.

    You will be redirected to a TikTok Shop page. Follow any instructions there to complete the setup in the store app.

After you've completed the connection steps, the store's Settings page will open. You can adjust your store-specific settings like branding and customer notifications, if you wish. Or click Save to close.

Supports Inventory Sync

ShipStation's Inventory Sync feature eliminates the need for manual inventory updates, ensuring your inventory levels are always accurate and up-to-date. Once you have activated Inventory Sync in the Add-On section of your account settings, you can easily manage your inventory across multiple platforms, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.

Inventory Sync is included in the High Volume plan, or as an add-on to all other plans.

Limit Orders Imported To Thirty Days

Toggle on this store setting to take less time when you import a high volume of orders. The setting limits the number of orders we import to get only those created within 30 days of the last store refresh. See Edit Store Settings.

If a store allows custom statuses, this means you define that statuses your orders use in your selling channel. In most cases, if you have custom statuses you'll need to define which ShipStation statuses each custom order status corresponds to.

ShipStation will import the customer's email address with the order data and can send shipment confirmation and delivery emails to that email address (configured in your Store settings).

ShipStation will import the customer phone number with the order data.

ShipStation will import the shipping method chosen by the customer during their store checkout.

ShipStation will import the payment method used to pay for the order.

ShipStation will import discount and coupon information for the order.

ShipStation can determine if an order is a gift from the order data sent by the store.

ShipStation will import internal notes or order activity from the store into the ShipStation Internal Notes field.

ShipStation will import notes provided by the customer when they made their purchase.

ShipStation will import the total order weight from the store.

ShipStation will import the weight for each line item in the order.

ShipStation will import an image URL for each line item in the order. These images will appear as thumbnails in your Order Details and can be included in email notifications and packing slips.

ShipStation will import item options (such as color or size) for each line item in the order. This data will appear in your Order Details and can be included in customer emails and packing slips.

ShipStation will import a product stock location for each line item in the order.

  • Every 90 days TikTok merchants must reauthorize and reconnect their TikTok shop to ShipStation.

    • If you do not reauthorize, you will see this error: An error occurred attempting to update orders: Unauthorized : {"message":"TikTok API returned an error. HTTP code: 401 (Unauthorized). Error code: 105002. Error message: ‘access token is expired, please refresh it'.","transaction_id":"aa579a77-2fe4-4bd0-a8c3-fa37223caa4f"}’

  • Be sure to set the Shipping Options Setting in TikTok to Seller Shipping. Our integration supports Seller Shipping only, and not TikTok Shipping. See the Shipping Options Setting section in this TIkTok help article for a step-by-step guide.

  • You can map any data point from TikTok Shop to any Custom Field within ShipStation. The reverse is not supported.

  • On Hold status is supported in the UK only.

  • Rules that apply to product images may impact orders.  If the product images fail to comply with the rules, order statuses, imports, and confirmations may fail to sync.

Error Message: An error occurred attempting to update orders: Unable to communicate with the store. Please try again. Error code: f4ac0c40-e087-45f2-9636-ec6c9f19b537

What it means: Order import from your store times out or lags. It is likely importing older orders, and thus a higher volume of orders than needed.

What to do: Activate the LimitOrdersImportedToThirtyDays store setting for TikTok Shop. When activated, that setting limits the orders we import to have only those created within 30 days of the last store refresh.

Orders do not import from TikTok Shop into ShipStation

Be sure to set the Shipping Options Setting in TikTok to Seller Shipping. Our integration supports Seller Shipping only, and not TikTok Shipping. See the Shipping Options Setting section in this TIkTok help article for a step-by-step guide.

What it means: The TikTok Shop is no longer authorized.

What to do: Reconnect your TikTok Shop to ShipStation. Every 90 days TikTok merchants must reconnect their TikTok Shop to ShipStation to reauthorize the integration.
